This watch is inspired by the most classic red elements in traditional Chinese culture and pays tribute to the deep relationship between Audemars Piguet and China. This limited edition watch was co-designed by Audemars Piguet and brand collector Austen Chu and features a red weekly calendar hand as the finishing touch on the dial.
This brand new watch is equipped with a large 41 mm case and a handsome stylish dark-grey “Grande Tapisserie” dial. The perpetual calendar functions are displayed harmoniously and inconspicuously on the dial. The Moon-phases dial is decorated with radial patterns, with a black sub-dial and week number display inner bezel, it forms a soft color contrast with the white hour markers.
Through the transparent case back, we can clearly see the exquisite Calibre 5134 self-winding ultra-thin perpetual calendar movement.
What makes this watch so special is that it is the first Royal Oak series perpetual calendar watch made of titanium, and this is also the first time that Audemars Piguet uses titanium as martial. Although titanium looks similar to stainless steel, it has many advantages over steel:
